The Oklahoma State University Alumni Association has announced the honorees for the 2026 OSU Distinguished Alumni Award and 2027 OSU Hall of Fame.

Seven individuals are receiving the OSU Distinguished Alumni Award, which recognizes those for outstanding service to their communities, contributions to their professions and passionate advancement of OSU. The 2026 honorees are:

• Bryan Begley, B.S. 1994, mechanical engineering, Southlake, Texas
• Jeff B. Hume, B.S. 1975, petroleum engineering technology, Oklahoma City
• Dr. Bretton H. Jameson, B.S. 1994, zoology, Stillwater, Oklahoma
• Jami Longacre, B.S. 1993, agriculture economics, Kellyville, Oklahoma
• Vincent Logan, B.S. 1979, political science, New York City
• Kyle Thompson, B.S. 1981, accounting, and Lucina Thompson, B.S. 1981, marketing, Dallas

OSU Distinguished Alumni Award recipients will be honored during a reception on Friday, Sept. 18, at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center and recognized at the Murray State vs. OSU football game on Saturday, Sept. 19. Reception tickets are available for purchase online at okstatealumni.org/daa.

Induction into OSU’s Hall of Fame is the university's highest honor, recognizing outstanding lifetime achievement in society and professional life. The 2027 honorees are:

• Terry Stuart Forst, B.S. 1976, animal science, Waurika, Oklahoma
• Darton Zink, B.S. 1994, accounting, Tulsa, Oklahoma
• Harry W. Birdwell, J.D., B.A. 1972, journalism and broadcasting, Edmond, Oklahoma
• Dr. Tererai Trent, B.S. 2000, agriculture education, M.S. 2003, plant pathology, Harare, Zimbabwe

The OSU Hall of Fame induction ceremony is Friday, Feb. 5, 2027, at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center. Tickets will be available this fall.

Honorees for the 2027 OSU Outstanding Young Alumni Award will be announced later this fall.
