Oklahoma State University recently hosted its annual Arts Week celebration featuring events across the OSU System.
The multi-day event includes music and dance performances, the annual Euphoria Fashion Show, exhibitions, workshops and interactive events hosted by campus and community partners. These events invite students, faculty, staff and the Stillwater community to engage directly with the arts, rather than simply observe them.
From the opening concert at Stillwater’s Block 34 to interactive paint exhibitions for amateur artists of all ages, the week challenged guests to become part of the story — igniting their creativity, fostering meaningful connections and creating lasting memories.
Music without walls
The OSU Symphony Orchestra kicked off the week of events with its Music without Walls performance at Stillwater's Block 34.
The OSU Graduate Woodwind Quintet and the Saxophone Ensemble took to the stage prior to the orchestra's performance.
The event also boasted food trucks, members of Pete's Pet Posse and interactive activities hosted by departments across campus.
The Arts Lounge
A centerpiece for this year's Arts Week celebration was the Arts Lounge, a "home away from home" featuring different interactive exhibits — such as a paint-by-numbers mural, a student-made marketplace, inflatable sculptures, yoga and much more.
The lounge provided guests an opportunity to relax in comfortable environment and truly immerse themselves in the arts.
Tiny Artists
Just as art comes in all shapes and sizes, so do artists.
The Arts Lounge also hosted groups of preschool-aged artists from OSU's Cleo L. Craig Child Development Lab.
