Coronavirus Update
While there are currently no known cases directly linking COVID-19 to our Stillwater and Tulsa campuses, over the past couple of days, it has become evident that we must do our part at Oklahoma State University to help prevent the spread of this virus by taking prudent steps to protect our campuses. Your safety and well-being must be your top priority.
Online Classes Two Weeks After Spring Break
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and to protect our campus community, we will be conducting classes online on the Stillwater and Tulsa campuses for the two weeks following spring break, beginning Monday, March 23, through Friday, April 3. Please be advised that there are currently no known COVID-19 cases at OSU. The clear guidance from our public health experts is that this step is a move to protect the health of our campus community.
Students leaving campus for spring break should take all instructional materials, including textbooks and devices, to ensure they are prepared for distance learning.
Campuses Remain Operational
OSU campuses will remain open. All non-classroom activities will continue in accordance with our stated travel guidelines. Faculty and staff should report to work as usual. Employees who can temporarily work from home may coordinate with their supervisors to identify possible telework opportunities.
Residence halls and dining facilities will remain open during this time.
All university-related events scheduled for March 14-April 5 are suspended, except for sporting events, which may be subject to spectator restrictions. This includes, but is not limited to: recruitment events, tours, student programs, reunions, performances, conferences and social events. We will continue to evaluate event hosting and will issue an announcement regarding events slated for April 6 and beyond. For information on OSU athletics, visit okstate.com.
We will continue to monitor COVID-19 and keep you informed of additional developments impacting our campuses. Please bookmark our main COVID-19 communications page for regular updates and useful FAQs. You may also submit questions to covid19@okstate.edu.
As we have seen, the situation could change in the next few days. We will keep you posted on any new developments over spring break. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we adjust to this challenging issue.
