The new school year doesn’t have to be stressful, especially with new primed resources prepared for the Oklahoma State University community.
When a research or essay assignment is due, students can utilize these tools to start their assignments or find relevant research. Consensus is trusted by more than 100 institutions, and now Oklahoma State University, through OSU Libraries.
Consensus uses credible information from trustworthy resources ranging from peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed literature to scientific research trials. It also serves as a reliable resource to use for in-depth analysis. Utilizing an AI-powered search engine, search results are produced from multiple sources to inform the artificial intelligence system. This collects multiple results on the topic searched, helping users to perform early research. Unlike other AI platforms, Consensus provides information with relevant articles and evidence attached to the results. It uses only information from scholarly databases.
Consensus also utilizes a subset of papers that can be used for more focused results, assisting users in their specific field of work and studies. An example subset is a medical mode where medical personnel can check their knowledge on clinical questions.
This resource is available to all current OSU students and faculty through OSU Libraries’ subscription. For more information, visit here.
Rayyan is now available to assist with structuring and screening resources and references. From terms, labels and descriptions, it assists with organizing sources neatly for systematic review.
Rayyan has garnered critical acclaim from multiple industries since its launch. It is currently being used by institutions such as the World Health Organization, National Safety Council and the Federation of Medical Specialists in the Netherlands. Rayyan is built for advanced projects, assisting mostly graduate and Ph.D. research. Users can start project reviews and choose their review type from qualitative, systematic and literature. It also provides a blind mode, data extraction and more.
Rayyan emphasizes collaboration, allowing multi-access for research teams. Its search engine can be modified with keywords, empowering users to process systematic reviews even more efficiently. For more information about Rayyan and OSU Libraries’ subscription, visit here.
