The Fiestas de las Americas returns to Historic Capitol Hill in Oklahoma City on Saturday, and Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City is taking part.

OSU-OKC faculty, staff and students will participate in the parade from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Fiestas de las Americas is the largest Latino festival in Oklahoma City. Each year, the event launches with the Parade of the Americas, followed by a day of family friendly activities, live entertainment, art and pop-up markets. The annual event began in 2006 and is scheduled in the middle of Hispanic Heritage Month. The parade showcases schools, businesses, community groups, leaders and others.

The parade route starts at Scissortail Park and goes south on Robinson Avenue to Calle Dos Cinco.

Students, faculty and staff who wish to volunteer for the OSU-OKC contingent, please fill out the form linked in a recent email.
