Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City’s Black Student Association invites the OSU-OKC family to participate in the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade on Feb. 1 in downtown Oklahoma City.

The date has been changed from Jan. 20 due to predicted extreme cold.

The tentative schedule for OSU-OKC volunteers is as follows:

  • 11:30 a.m. — BSA will provide lunch for participants. Location: St. Paul's Episcopal Church, located at 127 NW 7th Street
  • Noon — Annual MLK Program - Location: St. Paul's Episcopal Church
  • 2 p.m. — Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade - Approximate location is NW 5th and Walker (Our parade order will dictate exact location)

As part of celebrating MLK Jr. Day, the BSA and OSU-OKC contingent will have voter registration forms available for those who wish to register.

“One of our big initiatives is registering new voters, and any opportunity we have for registering new voters, we take it, so we will also register new voters downtown," BSA sponsor Dr. Steven Collins said.
