Oklahoma State University will host a special rabies symposium this year in conjunction with the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine’s annual Fall Conference.

The hybrid event will be held Nov. 5-6 at the Roger J. Panciera Education Center, and attendees can earn up to 15 hours of continuing education credit in person or 14 hours virtually.

The OSU College of Veterinary Medicine Fall Conference will be held this year in combination with a special symposium focused on rabies and sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim. The combination of these veterinary education events will provide the latest information on rabies prevention, disease management, public health and companion animal medicine. Veterinary professionals will learn from industry experts, researchers and practitioners while earning continuing education credits.

“We are excited to offer additional curriculum this year, and welcome Boehringer Ingelheim as a sponsor,” said Dr. Richard Prather, dean of the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine. “Veterinarians play a critical role in protecting both animal health and food safety. Events such as our annual Fall Conference and this special rabies symposium allow our alumni and colleagues a chance to learn about current developments in animal health.”

The OSU College of Veterinary Medicine Fall Conference has a longstanding commitment to offering continuing education and professional development opportunities for veterinarians.

The conference will be offered in person and online, providing flexibility for attendees. All College of Veterinary Medicine alumni are invited to attend conference-related alumni events, and an exhibit hall featuring industry partners is scheduled for November 6.

Registration opens September 1. Additional program and registration details will be announced in the coming months. Hotel accommodations are available through The Atherton Hotel at Oklahoma State University.
