OSU researchers advance NASA-aligned multiscale modeling to design next-generation aerospace materials

Researchers from the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology are taking a significant step toward accelerating the design and certification of advanced aerospace materials through a new multiscale modeling initiative, supported by a three-year $750,000 NASA grant.

Regents Professor Singh elected to be member of National Academy of Engineering

Oklahoma State University-Tulsa’s story doesn’t begin with one university – but four. Before 1986, there was no public four-year university presence in Tulsa. To address this, the City of Tulsa’s redevelopment arm opened the land just north of Interstate 244 to create a higher education campus, University Center at Tulsa, or UCAT. UCAT was composed of OSU, Langston University, the University of Oklahoma and Northeastern State University, providing mainly graduate-level academic programming.

Oklahoma State University announced Wednesday that Walter and Peggy Helmerich, along with The Helmerich Foundation, are pledging $9 million to OSU-Tulsa’s first research and technology development center, which will be named the Helmerich Advanced Technology Research Center.
