His appointment was approved during the March 6 Oklahoma State University/A&M Board of Regents meeting held in Stillwater.

Prior to coming to OSU, Wray served as vice president for Enrollment and Marketing at Oklahoma Christian University from 1999-2004, and was director of Admissions from 1996-1999. He has been a senior marketing consultant for Advantage Marketing since 2000.

At Oklahoma State University, Wray was presented with the President’s Service Award in 2005. In 2008 he was recognized by Oklahoma Magazine as a “Top 40 under 40” executive in the state.

In 2001, he was appointed by Gov. Frank Keating to a task force for higher education in relation to financial aid and state grants and scholarships.
