Soybeans planted after wheat are vulnerable to several insect pests, but most especially defoliating caterpillars and grasshoppers.
Soybeans and grain sorghum are the most common double-crops planted, though sesame, sunflowers and forage crops are popular with some producers.
Producers should contact their OSU Extension county agricultural educator to discuss options that best fit their specific operations and available resources.
