OSU Extension celebrates service at Oklahoma Conference on Volunteerism
Oklahoma State University Extension educators and volunteers from across Oklahoma attended the inaugural Oklahoma Conference on Volunteerism, held June 26-27.
Employees and managers of local businesses in the following counties are eligible: Creek, Osage, Pawnee, Adair, Cherokee, Delaware, Mayes and Sequoyah counties.
The COVID-19 stimulus bill included discounts for broadband service. Oklahoma State University agricultural economics professor Brian Whitacre is helping to spread the word.
Researchers have determined some broadband policies instituted by states have been successful in expanding needed access while others not only failed to help, they have been detrimental.
