With support from the City of Stillwater, the Arts and Humanities Council of Stillwater,
Visit Stillwater and Oklahoma State University, the Prairie Arts Center will host
the 2025 Stillwater Arts Festival on April 18-19.
Meghan Brasuell, Prairie Arts Center director, said this year’s festival promises
to be an exciting event for art enthusiasts of all ages. More than 50 regional artists
are slated to participate, offering artworks in media that include ceramics, glass,
fiber arts, metals, jewelry, photography, painting and drawing.

“I love introducing new and returning artists to Stillwater’s vibrant arts community,” Brasuell said. “During the festival, we get to watch connections grow and creativity thrive.”
In addition to welcoming artists from the midwestern, southern and southwestern United States, festival organizers will stage an exhibition of community art, offer art-making activities and artist demos, and host several food trucks and vendors.
Visitors are also invited to attend “One in Three,” a community-made art installation opening April 18 that celebrates the process of pollination.
“‘One in Three’ is a chance for people to immerse themselves in the visual pleasure of a handmade garden, scaled up,” said Jen Johnson, art education coordinator for the Prairie. “Attendees will walk among human-size flowers and spy colorful pollinators doing their jobs as they learn about pollination and its relevance to humans.”
The exhibition is a community collaboration with contributions from local artists, Stillwater Public Schools third-graders and their art instructors, Perry High School art students, Still Wonder program participants, the OSU Botanic Garden and Beekeeping Club, and Prairie Arts Center students.
“On Saturday the 19th, we’ll welcome the OSU Beekeeping Club to the exhibition,” Brasuell said. “They will share their knowledge and provide visitors with a hands-on experience with bee hives and beekeeping gear — sans bees!”
The Stillwater Arts Festival, which is free and open to the public, will take place from noon-8 p.m. on Friday, April 18, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 19. The Prairie Arts Center is located at 1001 S. Duck Street in Stillwater. For more information, visit www.prairieartscenter.org.
