Oklahoma State University will host the Annual Conference for the Oklahoma Municipal
Court Clerks Association May 19-21 in Stillwater, Okla.
The conference theme for this year is “Keys to Success,” and it will be held at the
OSU Student Union. Sessions will cover a wide range of topics, such as human resources,
records management and legislative updates.
Sessions that participants have to look forward to:

Oklahoma State University
Fraud and Embezzlement, Gary Jones, CPA, CFE, Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector
Court Clerk Survival Techniques, Pam Spinks, Director of Professional Development,
Oklahoma Municipal Assurance Group
Municipal Appeals, Mark Osby, Yukon/Mustang City Prosecutor, Union City Municipal
Judge
Records Management with DPS, Gina Terrell, Department of Public Safety
“It is our continued intent to provide professional training and networking for each
municipal court as well as provide a stream of pertinent information and tools,” said
OMCCA President Candy Schwarz. “Our goal is to assist each clerk in whatever way possible,
including improving the knowledge of their own responsibilities and obligations to
their municipality. This conference will provide clerks, new or seasoned, educational
training required for the betterment of their own municipality.”
A 21st Century jukebox and Italian dinner will be hosted on Monday evening for all conference
participants. The musical evening will include dueling pianos and singing.
Registration by April 30 is $195 per member of OMCCA or $295 for nonmembers. Registration
after April 30 is $220 for OMCCA members or $320 for nonmembers. Hotel accommodations
are reserved by participants.
