OSU will be hosting conferences for Oklahoma Municipal Clerks and Treasurers

Oklahoma State University will host the Oklahoma Municipal Clerks and Treasurers Institute and the Oklahoma Municipal Clerks and Treasurers Academy in February in Stillwater.
The conferences will be held at the Wes Watkins Center on Feb. 17-21. The Institute and Academy conferences are advanced educational programs designed to develop technical skills and administrative, financial and leadership abilities.
Some sessions Institute participants have to look forward to:
- Basic Bank Reconciliations, Marcy Twyman, CPA, managing shareholder, Crawford & Associates, P.C.
- Payroll Management and Processing, Brenda White, CPA, Crawford & Associates, P.C.
- Annual Reports, Jan Neufield, CPFA, City of Chandler
- Diversity: The Logic and Common Cents of Diversity, Jason Kirksey, associate vice president, Institutional Diversity, Oklahoma State University
Some sessions Academy participants have to look forward to:
- Disaster Preparedness at Home and in the Workplace, Larry Sanders, Traci Naile, Craig Buchanan, Red Cross Volunteers, Stillwater, Okla.
- Understanding Financial Statements, Frank Crawford, president, Crawford & Associates, P.C.
- Advanced Revenue Collection, Davis Puryear, assistant city treasurer, City of Oklahoma City
- The Game is Played Away from the Ball, Lee Manzer, professor, Department of Marketing, Spears School of Business, Oklahoma State University
Sessions will count toward participants’ Institute and Academy credit. Participants enrolled in the Institute receive credit toward national certification, and OSU Center for Executive and Professional Development in the Spears School of Business keeps the transcripts of the education toward this credit for the municipal clerks and treasurers in the state
Registration for the Oklahoma Municipal Clerks and Treasurers Institute is $375 or for part-time participants it is $60 for each half day.
Registration for the Oklahoma Municipal Clerks and Treasurers Academy is $499 or for part-time participants it is $70 for each half day.
