OSU's Spears School of Business to host Women's Business Leadership Conference

The 23rd Annual Women’s Business Leadership Conference will be held March 5, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Tulsa, Okla. It is presented by the Oklahoma International Women’s Forum (OIWF), the International Women’s Forum Leadership Foundation and the Center for Executive and Professional Development in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University.
Lou C. Kerr, Chair of the Oklahoma International Women’s Forum and President and Chair of the The Kerr Foundation, Inc. was key to securing the speakers for the conference.
“The OSU Women’s Conference offered in cooperation with OIWF is an exciting conference that usually involves more than 300 participants in the Tulsa community and the state,” Kerr said. “It is an opportunity to hear some individuals who have been very successful in their careers and are willing to share the keys to their success with our local women business and professional leaders. We encourage young professionals to attend.
This conference brings in a variety of expert women leaders from across the United States who share their experiences in the business world. Participants will learn more about moving toward their career goals, enhancing their leadership skills, and developing themselves and others.
Featured speakers include Roxanne Joffe, founder of Cap Brand Marketing in Sarasota, Fla. Joffe will speak on “A Toolbox for Women Business Leaders” by providing practical solutions for balancing life and work.
Fay Gold, owner of Fay Gold Art Gallery in Atlanta, Ga., will share her own story in “Self Portrait: Confessions of an Art Dealer.” Jan Tilley, president of Jan Tilley & Associates in San Antonio, Texas, will share how to practice a healthier lifestyle in “Getting your Second Wind.”
Tweet Coleman, aviation pioneer, FAA veteran, Oklahoma State University alum, speaker and author in Celebration, Fla., will address “International Leadership” using inspiring stories from global leaders to explain how to live life with purpose and passion. Donna J. Nelson, a professor in the department of chemistry at The University of Oklahoma, will discuss her experience in helping women overcome the challenges of entering, surviving and flourishing in the U.S. scientific workforce on the topic of “Ensuring America’s Scientific Readiness.”

Registration for the Women’s Business Leadership Conference is $225 per person by Feb. 24. Registration is $275 after Feb. 24.
