Fifteen Spears School of Business distance learning graduate students traveled from
as far away as California and Maryland to participate in Oklahoma State University’s
Graduate School Commencement ceremony last Friday night.
The 15 represent just a handful of the 105 students who completed work on graduate
degrees through the Watson Graduate School of Management’s distance learning option.
Making the trip to Stillwater to participate in the Graduate School Commencement ceremony

advanced degrees such as MBAs and Master of Science by utilizing OSU’s distance learning
expertise,” said Ramesh Sharda, interim vice dean of the Watson Graduate School of
Management.
“This spring’s graduating class of 107 distance students is impressive. The fact that
more than a doze traveled to Stillwater to attend the graduation event speaks to the
quality of experience they have in our programs and the bond they have built with
OSU.”
On Saturday, Lori Williams of Rush Springs, Okla., who earned her bachelor’s degree
in management through the distance learning option, attended the Undergraduate Commencement
ceremony.
