The Governor’s Executive Development Program for State Officials is the perfect opportunity for state employees to improve their knowledge and skills. The 10th Annual Governor’s Executive Development Program will be held July 27-31 at Oklahoma State University.
This uniquely designed program was developed around five executive leadership competencies for top-level state officials. It is presented by exceptional faculty members, whose specific goals are to improve participants’ ability to lead change, lead people, achieve results and build business acumen, coalitions and communication.
“Wonderful program! Whether you are new to the state or have been around for a while, a new executive or experienced, there is a lot to be taken away from this program. Very glad to be a part of it.” said Daron Hoggatt, State Use Program Administrator for the Office of Management and Enterprise Services in the Central Purchasing Division.
The program features sessions from senior faculty members from Oklahoma State University, the University of Oklahoma, and American University in Washington, D.C. Faculty presenting the sessions include Raja Basu, Matt Bowler, Ken Eastman, Lee Manzer, Alexis Smith, and Tracy Suter from OSU; Ryan Bisel and Nim Razook from OU; Jari Askins, the former Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma and Interim Director of the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board, and Patrick Malone from American University.
The Governor’s Executive Development Program offers an outstanding educational experience that helps participants improve the ways they think and make decisions. The program facilitates the exchange of ideas in an interactive setting and provides the best speakers and information possible with the merging of resources from OSU, OU and the State of Oklahoma Office of Human Capital Management.
“The material and quality of instruction in this program is unmatched,” stated Julie Bisbee, a Public Information and Outreach Officer for the Oklahoma Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust. “This program was inspiring and illustrates how leaders in state government can continue to pursue excellence in public service.”
Registrations received by June 12 are $2,700 per person. Registrations received between June 13 and July 6 are $2,950 per person.
