The Master of Science in Management Information Systems program at Oklahoma State
University has again been recognized in the Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking as one
of the best master’s programs in North America.
The OSU Spears School of Business master’s program in MIS was No. 29 in the North
American rankings for Information Systems programs in 2014-15. OSU’s program was No.
24 among U.S. universities, and was the only Big 12 school to make the list.
“It is a testament to the talent and international reputation of our top-notch MSIS
faculty that we are once again recognized as a Top 30 program in North America,” said
Rick L. Wilson, chair of the Spears School’s Management Science and Information Systems
department. “Our leading edge areas of specialization in data science and analytics,
information security, and other areas continue to give our MS in MIS students a superior
and unique value-added graduate education experience that propels them to a great
future.”
The Eduniversal rankings are based on three main criteria: 1) notoriety of the program;
2) salary of first employment after graduation, and 3) satisfaction of the students.
Each year this ranking evaluates more than 12,000 postgraduate programs. The final
ranking is determined through a global survey of 5,000 international recruiters, 800,000
students and over 10,000 representatives from 1,000 academic institutions in 154 countries.
