Golf Classic from 2014
Participants await the festivities to begin at last year's Golf Classic.

It’s time to venture the greens again as Oklahoma State University’s (OSU) Spears School of Business and the Center for Executive and Professional Development host another Spears School of Business Golf Classic this year following the 100th Anniversary Golf Classic hosted this past year.

This year’s Spears School Golf Classic will be held on Friday, Aug. 7, at Karsten Creek in Stillwater, The Golf Classic is a great way to connect with OSU alumni, faculty, and students before the fall semester begins.

Other than playing the usual game of golf, there will also be a ball drop. Participants can pay $10 per ball for a chance to win $500. How the ball drop works is for each ball someone buys, their name is put on it and it is put in a bucket. Then, when all of the balls are in the bucket, they drop all of the balls out of the bucket and the ball that goes in the hole or comes closest to the hole wins the $500.

The Golf Classic, to be played as a four-person scramble, is possible thanks to the contributions of several sponsors. Silver Sponsors include Manhattan Construction Group, Phillips 66, and Stock Exchange Bank. The Bronze Sponsor is Mass Mutual Financial Group. Wallace will be sponsoring a hole on the course. Sponsorships for the Golf Classic are still available.
