The Oklahoma State University Speakers Series is bringing Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Computer and chief scientist at Fusion-io, to the Stillwater campus on Monday, April 6, from 3:45-5 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Wozniak, along with Steve Jobs, helped shape the computing world as we know it by designing the first line of Apple computers, Apple I, in 1976, which later led to the creation of Apple Computer Inc. Since then, Apple Computer has been a leader in many technological advances, such as the iPhone, iPod, and iPad.

The speaker series programs bring international business and political leaders, authors and policymakers to the Stillwater community. The OSU Speakers Series is sponsored by the SGA Speakers Board, the OSU President’s Speakers Series, and the Spears School of Business.

“We are very pleased to be partnering with the OSU Student Government Association and the OSU President’s office to host Steve Wozniak in a unique question-and-answer setting,” said Ken Eastman, dean of the Spears School of Business. “Apple Computer is a company at the forefront of technology and innovation, and we are pleased to be able to offer this opportunity to OSU students and the Stillwater community to hear Mr. Wozniak’s insights on the future of computer technology and its impact on business and the world.”

Admission is free for OSU students, faculty and staff with an OSU ID. Tickets are $10 for the public to attend the Stillwater event. Participants wishing to purchase tickets for students (K-12th grades) may do so for $5 per ticket or for a flat fee of $100 it’s possible to send 50 students.
