Tuesday, June 2, 2015
The online master’s business degree at Oklahoma State University is one of the best programs in the United States offering benefits for veterans, according to U.S. News & World Report.
OSU’s online masters degree in business is tied for No. 39 in the 2015 rankings.
“OSU has had a long history of working with the military in general and serving the veterans,” said Ramesh Sharda, vice dean of the Watson Graduate School of Management. “Our School of Entrepreneurship has a special program focused on helping veterans start a business. We also offer special tuition rates for military personnel enrolled in our master’s and graduate certificate programs. So I am really pleased that we are also recognized through such rankings.”
Veterans typically take advantage of distance learning programs and are looking for a higher-quality education that is affordable, accessible and reputable. These three factors were strongly considered in rankings of the 2015 Best Online Programs for Veterans.
In order to be considered for this ranking, the schools must have been included in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2015 Best Online Programs rankings which were released in January of this year. OSU’s graduate business programs (excluding MBA) were ranked No. 46.
The best online programs for veterans rankings are based on other factors as well including program reputation, faculty credentials, retention rates and graduate debt loans, to name a few.
OSU is one of only a handful of school’s nationwide that provides the Veterans Entrepreneurship Program (VEP). It is designed for veterans interested in starting a venture as a means to financial independence or have an existing business that they would like to grow profitably.
