The second annual Spears School Golf Classic recently hosted by the Spears School of Business and the Center for Executive and Professional Development brought together business school alumni, donors and friends to raise funds for business student scholarships.

The tournament, once again played at Oklahoma State University’s prestigious Karsten Creek Golf Club, returned after the inaugural 2014 Golf Classic that celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the business education at Oklahoma State University. “The overwhelming desire from last year’s golfers was that we should make the Golf Classic an annual event, so we were excited to host another great day on one of the nation’s best golf courses with our alums, donors and friends,” said Ken Eastman, dean of the Spears School.

Twenty-eight teams participated in the four-person scramble as temperatures topped 100 degrees at the home course of the OSU Cowboys on Aug. 7.

The top teams received prizes donated by numerous companies. The winner of the ever popular “ball drop” received a $500 cash prize.
