Dylan Dean, Imran Selim, Jakayla Porter and Mason Evans formed a team to represent the OSU MBA program. By placing in the top three of the competition, the team was awarded $2,000. Each team consists of three to four members and must include some individuals from an ethnic minority group.

Attendees received access to interactive workshops, exciting keynote presentations, and admission to one of the most highly-anticipated career fairs designed exclusively for the MBAs across a variety of industries.

During the case competition, teams worked on a case provided by LMI that is based on real government situations. Students used strategy, analytics, and communication to develop and present a plan of action to judges. The panel of judges was comprised of management professionals, who provided constructive feedback to groups who apply critical thinking to business challenges.

“The MBAX competition is not only a case competition, but also an opportunity to network, make valuable connections and learn from students of other business schools and industry professionals,” Selim said. “Moreover, by analyzing, solving and presenting in a case that is based on a real business situation, I have learned to use my business skills developed in classroom on a real business problem.”

“Having the chance to participate in this competition was the highlight of my semester,” Dean said. “I was able to form connections with business leaders and students across the country while pushing myself outside of my comfort zone during the presentation itself.”
