Friday, July 8, 2016

Professional Development Seminars-Ponca CitySeminars will be presented this fall and be hosted at The Ponca City University Center and offered through the OSU Center for Executive and Professional Development. OSU is partnering with Dorada Foods and The Ponca City University Center to offer this series of programs.

“The University Center mission has always been to bring higher educational opportunities to the citizens of North Central Oklahoma,” said Adam Leaming, chief executive officer of the Ponca City University Center. “We feel these programs from the Spears School of Business at OSU provide a new opportunity for our businesses and citizens to have access to high quality professional educators right here in Ponca City in a format that’s convenient and affordable.

“This business series brings relevant information to enhance the skills of our citizens which then will complement and propel our business community to better compete in the state, regional, and global economies,” said Leaming.

Each program registration fee is $350 with the exception of the Nov. 30 Emotional Intelligence/Stress Management program which includes a 360-degree assessment and is $750.

“The value is extraordinary,” said OSU program manager Courtney Garrison. “The Emotional Intelligence assessment instrument is sent to the identified people who the registrants would like to have assess them and their interactions at work. This usually includes a supervisor, subordinates, clients, peers, and others. We have received great feedback regarding this session which helps participants improve work performance.”

Dorada Foods is a partner that has committed to sending several registrants to the program to help ensure professional development networking and interaction success. Group registration discounts are available upon request. All programs include instruction, materials and refreshments.

Seminars will be held at The Ponca City University Center, 2800 North 14th Street.
