OSU Spears School of Business presents Professional Development Seminars in Tulsa

The Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University is pleased to be offering its Professional Development Seminar series in Tulsa this spring and summer. The series is offered by the OSU Department of Management, the School of Marketing and International Business, and the Center for Executive and Professional Development.
The first two seminars of this series will be March 29 with Matt Bowler from the Department of Management and Lee Manzer from the Department of Marketing. The next seminar will be April 29 with Andrew Urich from the Department of Management, followed June 7 by Kim McCrackin from the Department of Management.
The Professional Development Series is designed to give participants better management styles and improved networking and verbal and written communication skills after attending.
All seminars will be held at the OSU-Tulsa campus. The schedule and topics are as follows:
March 29 / 9:00 a.m.-noon – Leadership by Question with Matt Bowler: In this seminar, participants will learn to engage followers and be a more effective leader by learning about and practicing the art of using leading questions.
March 29 / 1-4 p.m. – Effective Attitudes in the Workplace with Lee Manzer: Among the topics discussed in this seminar are how attitudes are formed, how they are organized, how they are changed and how they affect one’s self-image.
April 19 / 9 a.m.-4 p.m. – Networking and Building Profitable Relationships: The Primary Drivers of Success with Andrew Urich: Participants will learn how to cultivate interpersonal skills, find opportunities for success, the essence of networking and much more.
June 7 / 9 a.m.-noon – Words at Work: Business Writing for Success with Kim McCrackin: This seminar will teach participants the skills and techniques of communicating information clearly, concisely and conscientiously.
June 7 / 1-4 p.m. – Editing and Proofreading with Kim McCrackin: This seminar will teach participants the importance of correctness and professionalism in business writing and proofreading strategies for improved business communications.
Registration for the March 29 and June 7 seminars is $199 per person per seminar or register for both three-hour sessions on one day for $350 per person. Registration for the April 19 seminar is $350 per person. Pricing includes instruction, materials and refreshments.
