Cyber Security Conference assists businesses in protecting sensitive data, personal info

Cyber attacks are a threat to every business and the need to adapt strategies to protect sensitive business data and personal information is critical. Business leaders will learn from cyber security experts how to address cyber security concerns at the third annual Cyber Security Conference May 3 at the Hilton Garden Inn and Edmond Conference Center.
Hosted by the Department of Management Science and Information Systems at Oklahoma State University, a pre-conference with roundtable cyber security discussions facilitated by conference corporate advisory board members is scheduled from 8-9 a.m. with the conference to follow from 9:15 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
The conference is designed for senior-level leaders, human resource and information technology management professionals, operational technology specialists, systems and data administrators and other business leaders involved in the decision-making process for cyber security strategy, implementation and management.
“The threat and number of cyber security attacks is increasing every year,” said Rick Wilson, head of the Department of MSIS in OSU’s Spears School of Business. “This conference is an opportunity for professionals to learn from national and regional experts on how they can help their company be more prepared and pro-active with its cyber security.”
