Words of Wisdom with Dr. Lee Manzer series targets Stillwater business professionals

Lee Manzer, professor in the OSU Spears School of Business, is presenting a professional development series in Stillwater for business professionals in the surrounding region.

The series will feature three presentations, running from March to May.

Through his unique style of storytelling, Manzer will show participants how to apply lessons learned to their career and remember the message for life. These seminars are designed for anyone interested in developing their business skills as an individual contributor, manager or CEO/owner.

“With storytelling and warmth, Dr. Manzer makes a deep and lasting impression on everyone who attends his seminars,” said Marty Piel, Ditch Witch Regional Parts Manager-Training. “He has been a part of professional development in the Ditch Witch training curriculum for years and I’m excited that more people in this area will be given the opportunity to learn from him during this exciting series.”

The professional development sessions included in this “Words of Wisdom with Dr. Lee Manzer” series are:

  • “Customer Service: Exceeding Expectations” on March 29,
  • “Stories from the Past: Managing the Future” on April 26, and
  • “Increasing Productivity through Accountability” on May 15.

All sessions will be held from 10 a.m.-noon at the Wes Watkins Center.

Manzer has been teaching in Spears Business for more than 40 years as a professor of marketing. He has been presented with more than 25 teaching awards, including the national 2018 Excellence in Teaching Award from the University Professional and Continuing Education Association, and he’s been inducted into the Oklahoma Education Hall of Fame. Manzer has presented more than 1,350 professional development programs to more than 150,000 people.

“Dr. Manzer is a nationally recognized and beloved professor and speaker,” said Josh Wiener, department head of the OSU School of Marketing and International Business. “He provides words of wisdom and words of inspiration by telling memorable stories. Thousands of students and business professionals are more successful in their careers and lives, thanks to him.”

Individual registration for all three sessions is $225 per person or $75 per person for one session. For registrations of 10 or more participants, a 30 percent group discount of $50 per session is available.
