The Spears School of Business Center for Financial Health and Wellness is here to teach the essentials of financial literacy, including budgeting, saving and investing in the modern world.
Led by Department of Finance lecturer Amit Bansal, the center currently offers group sessions for Oklahoma State University student organizations and employees, as well as for businesses and groups across the state. Bansal and the center also offer one-on-one coaching for those that need individual help with their financial goals.
“So many college students, and even working adults, don’t know the basics of personal finance, and we hope to change that with the Center for Financial Health and Wellness,” Bansal said. “We want to give people a plan, teach them about the power of compounding interest and how investing just $10 a day can make them a millionaire. Eventually, we want to educate every Spears Business graduate, and the entire state of Oklahoma, about these simple but life-changing tools.”
Since the center opened in January, Bansal has given multiple seminars to groups across the state, with more planned in the coming weeks. If you are interested in hosting a session for your group or would benefit from a one-on-one session about your financial goals, please visit the Center for Financial Health and Wellness website.
Do you have a passion for personal finance? The Center for Financial Health and Wellness is seeking ambassadors to assist with its wellness sessions and the administrative needs of the center. Visit the center website for more information and to sign up.
