Monday, March 6, 2006
Students, staff, faculty and administrators are invited to attend a campus forum Thursday, March 23, that will address the controversy surrounding affirmative action and clear up misconceptions about programs created to improve access to higher education and the workplace.
The panel discussion, sponsored by the Vietnamese American Student Association, will be held at 7:30 p.m. in 408 Student Union. Dr. Carolyn Hernandez, director of OSU’s Affirmative Action office; Doug Price, an attorney from the university’s Office of Legal Counsel; and Dr. Phil Birdine, director of OSU’s Multicultural Student Center, will serve as panelists.
