Bestselling author to launch latest OSU business speaker series
Monday, November 20, 2006
Malcolm Gladwell will kick off this year’s Oklahoma State University business speaker series, Executive Management Briefings, by interpreting and applying groundbreaking research for business on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Cox Business Center in Oklahoma City from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Gladwell, a staff writer for The New Yorker since 1996, has a gift for making research understandable and valuable for business. In 2005, he was named one of Time magazine's most 100 Influential People. The author of two New York Times No. 1 bestsellers, including “The Tipping Point” and “Blink,” Gladwell uses the books to offer specific insights into creating positive ideas and behavior to analyzing first impressions and how they can be mastered for successful decision making.
A luncheon will follow Gladwell’s presentation. He is the first of three speakers for this year’s Executive Management Briefings, including NBC’s Tim Russert (Jan. 29) and Edward Whitacre Jr., chairman and CEO of AT&T (April 5).
