Department of Commerce grant to OSU-OKC will establish Business Service Team
Friday, September 8, 2006
Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City has received a three-year, $300,000 per year Department of Commerce Federal Work Force Investment Act grant.
The grant will establish a Business Service Team — a group of local people representing education, employment and economic development entities working together to provide a comprehensive business solution within a local area.
BSTs provide a single point of access for business and can broker team member services to ensure a one-stop approach to business needs. This is an OSU-OKC/Central Oklahoma Workforce Investment Board partnership with the Oklahoma Employment Securities Commission. Dr. Mac McCrory, OSU-OKC vice president of business and industry, coordinates this project.
