Family honors retired OSU professor with $250K professorship

A recent retiree in Oklahoma State University’s Leisure Studies unit, Dr. Christine Cashel received the surprise of a lifetime when her mother, Marie Grant, endowed a College of Education professorship in her honor in April 2006. 

The professorship, valued at $250,000, will ensure Cashel’s passion for educating students continues long after she retires.
