OSU Foundation announces launch of OSUgiving.com

The Oklahoma State University Foundation has a new international address.
Pistol Pete joined OSU Foundation president Kirk Jewell on Thursday to officially launch the newly created OSUgiving.com website (www.osugiving.com) during a special “Building on Momentum Celebration Event,” capitalizing on the university's $100 million fundraising year.
“We have only one reason to exist: to support OSU, which is why we are changing our website to better reflect why we’re here,” Jewell said. “Starting today, the OSU Foundation has a new international address to better connect OSU supporters across the world.”
Designed to better assist Cowboy faithful with charitable giving to OSU, OSUgiving.com features the donors, students and friends who impact the university through their ongoing generosity. The site also includes the latest OSU philanthropy news, fundraising priorities, recognition of current donors, the university’s greatest needs, and detailed stories about the individuals who have inspired excellence and their grateful beneficiaries.
The site was built using internal OSU Foundation resources, tools and expertise.
“We’re shifting the paradigm of giving with this new site,” said Becky Endicott, OSU Foundation director of marketing and communications. “We no longer seek to compel a donor’s support; we hope to inspire it. We have the tool now to make that happen.”
As the telephone industry became more technologically sophisticated, it became increasingly difficult to reach university supporters through the foundation’s calling program, the Cowboy Callers.
Foundation officials are confident the new site will broaden the university’s ability to connect with a new donor demographic — technologically savvy alumni.
“We are now able to combine the latest tools of marketing, technology, philanthropy, entrepreneurship and branding into one powerful force,” Jewell said. “Our goal is to make the site more convenient for people to donate to OSU and to illustrate the many areas where gifts are improving the lives of OSU students and the programs that they encounter.”
Additionally, web visitors are invited to enter and win a fantastic football gameday package for the OSU-Baylor game on Nov. 11. The Gameday package includes two Club Level tickets (includes buffet and snacks), a parking pass, a $50 ConocoPhillips gas card, $30 Hideaway gift card and $30 gamewear at OSU Authentic.
The OSU Foundation serves as the private fundraising organization for OSU, as designated by the OSU Regents. Its mission is to unite donor and university passions and priorities to achieve excellence.
