Veterinary Center Pet Care Seminar: Emerging Infectious Health Concerns
Tuesday, September 26, 2006
On Tuesday, Oct. 3, Dr. Jill Brunker, a Small Animal internist, will discuss emerging infectious health concerns for pet owners during the Center for Veterinary Health Sciences’ monthly Pet Care Seminar.
Brunker will discuss health risks such as leptospirosis, cytauxzoonosis and influenza. These emerging infectious diseases are severe, and some could be fatal if left untreated. Brunker will present an overview, including minimizing your pet’s exposure. A question-and-answer period will follow her presentation.
Pet Care Seminars are open to the public and held in McElroy Hall Auditorium at 7 p.m. Admission and light refreshments are complimentary. McElroy Hall is located at the corner of McFarland and Farm Road on OSU’s Stillwater campus. For more information on this public education program, please contact Ann Govek at 405-744-7672.
