OSU Board Approves Personnel Actions

(Oklahoma City, OK-December 7, 2007) – The Oklahoma State University/A&M Board of
Regents approved several personnel actions during its Dec. 7 meeting at Oklahoma State
University-Oklahoma City.
APPOINTMENTS: Astri Wyadande, assistant professor and assistant director, entomology
and plant pathology; Kefyalew G. Desta, assistant professor, plant and soil sciences;
Joshua D. Ramsey, assistant professor, chemical engineering.
TITLE CHANGES: Jason F. Kirksey, associate professor and Atkins Chair in political
science, assumed responsibilities of the Africana Studies program.
RETIREMENTS: Dale W. Toetz, zoology, June 1, 2008; Rudy I. Greer Jr., business administration,
Jan. 2, 2008; James E. Halligan, professor and president emeritus, Nov. 5, 2007.
For OSU-Okmulgee, a change in title was approved for Keith L. Crownover, from instructor
to director and instructor, small business occupations.
For OSU-Oklahoma City, the retirement of Ruth J. Strozdas, interpreter training, was
accepted for Dec. 31.
For the OSU Center for Health Sciences, an appointment was approved for Jeffrey Chasteen,
clinical assistant professor, family medicine. Changes in title were approved for
Craig W. Stevens, professor of pharmacology and physiology, with the permanent appointment
to department chair. A promotion was approved for Barbara B. Leeper from manager to
director, health care administration.
