2008 OSU Outstanding Senior Award recipients named

(April 7, 2008 Stillwater, OK) - Sixteen students have been selected to receive the
2008 Oklahoma State University Outstanding Senior Award this spring.
This award, presented by the OSU Alumni Association, recognizes students who distinguish
themselves through academic achievement, campus and community activities, academic,
athletic or extra-curricular honors or awards, scholarships and work ethic during
their time at OSU.
The 16 students were selected from the 41 Seniors of Significance named last fall
by the OSU Alumni Association Awards and Selection Committee.
A public banquet honoring the OSU Outstanding Seniors will be held April 21 at the
ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center at 6:30 p.m.
This year’s honorees are Heather Beem, Stillwater, mechanical engineering; Matthew
Beier, Stillwater, chemical engineering; Matt Carter, Norman, economics and finance;
Whitney Danker, Wellston, agricultural communications and agricultural economics;
Nicholas Eschner, McHenry, Ill., fire protection and safety technology; Ebonie Hill,
Lawton, public relations and marketing; Travis Jett, Laverne, agribusiness; and Eunice
Menja, Stillwater, child and family services.
Also receiving the honor are Christy Milliken, Edmond, English and economics; Sara-Jane
Smallwood, Clayton, agricultural communications and American Indian studies; Ashley
Spess, Cleveland, human development and family science and English; Patrick Stein,
Cherokee, agribusiness; Matthew Stiner, Broken Arrow, political science and history;
Aspen Wilds, El Reno, business management and marketing and human resources; Kelsey
Jackson-Williams, Stillwater, English and history; and Aaron Wilson, Stillwater, economics
and pre-law.
