Step-by-step repair of Mustang to be featured at website
State Farm Insurance Company has donated a 2006 Ford Mustang to the Oklahoma State University-Okmulgee Automotive Collision Repair Program to be used as both a learning project by students and as a recruiting tool -- in addition to becoming a weekly feature on the Internet. This is the second auto donated by the company, and like the other, the donation includes title to the car.  That means once it is restored, the Mustang can be used to build interest in the program. For instance, instructors can drive the beautifully restored car with the orange and black paint job on recruiting visits, so possible recruits can see the quality of work students are trained for. OSU-Okmulgee collision instructor Kelly Ingold plans on making this repair job a public event by posting weekly updates on the program’s website at http://www.osu-okmulgee.edu/academics/automotive/collision_repair.php

Wellness tip: Vegetarian meals - low fat?

Are vegetarian meals low in fat? Not always. Some vegetarian meals contain high fat cheeses or sauces. Others may be fried or contain unhealthy fats such as coconut or palm oil. Some contain healthy fats (including many vegetable oils, nuts, seeds and avocado). While good for you in moderation, healthy fats can still provide extra, unneeded calories. When choosing a vegetarian entrée, consider asking about the ingredients and method of preparation. Wellness tips are brought to you by the OSU Seretean Wellness Center, dedicated to making OSU the Healthiest Campus in America. For more information about services for students, faculty and staff, call 744-WELL (9355).
