Aerospace engineering in the news
OSU’s aerospace engineering program, which is gearing up for an unmanned air vehicle design competition in April, was the focus a story in the business section of The Oklahoman today. Fifteen students combined into two teams will be spending several hours developing their aircrafts in an attempt to win the $2,500 first-place prize at the competition. Andy Arena, aerospace engineering professor, says he believes competitions like this help develop his students’ engineering skills. “You can make anything work on paper,” Arena said. “By them having to go through the whole process of designing, building and redesigning, I think it will make them better engineers.”  For background on this story or others that feature OSU, please visit “OSU in the news” by clicking on the following link index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=261&Itemid=89.
