OSU Board Approves Personnel Actions

(OKMULGEE, Okla., January 18, 2008) -- The Oklahoma State University/A&M Board of
Regents approved several personnel actions during its Jan. 18 meeting at Oklahoma
State University-Okmulgee.
APPOINTMENTS: Catherine A. Shuffield, executive director and assistant extension specialist,
4-H Youth Development Programs; Randy Allen, professor and Sitlington Chair, biochemistry
and molecular biology; Vijaya G. Kakani, assistant professor, plant and soil sciences;
Belinda K. McCharen, associate professor and Francis Tuttle Chair, teaching and curriculum
leadership; Chulho Yang, associate professor, engineering technology; Melinda W. Lyon,
assistant professor, design, housing and merchandising; Kelly M. Roberts, clinical
instructor, human development and family science.
CHANGES: Rebecca S. Eastham, clinical instructor of hotel and restaurant administration,
to clinical instructor and general manager, The Atherton Hotel, hotel and restaurant
administration/Student Union hotel operations.
RETIREMENTS: Donald G. Wagner, animal science, Feb. 4; Paul A. Westhaus, physics,
June 30.
For OSU-Oklahoma City, appointments were approved for Kimberly Halpern, instructor
and head, general studies; Nada M. Cain, Nicole Pascher and Lora R. Winchester, instructors,
health sciences; and Gary W. Davis, instructor, interpreter training.
For the OSU Center for Health Sciences, the appointment of John D. DeWitt, clinical
associate professor, internal medicine, was approved.
