OSU Board approves personnel actions

(STILLWATER, Okla., April 18, 2008) -- The Oklahoma State University/A&M Board of Regents approved several personnel actions during its April 18 meeting at Langston University.

APPOINTMENTS: Carla Garzon and Michael H. Reiskind, assistant professors, entomology and plant pathology; Sarah R. Lancaster and Jason G. Warren, assistant professors, plant and soil sciences; and Jacob J. Sherman, assistant professor, library.

CHANGES: Daryl B. Arnall, title change from senior agriculturalist to assistant professor, plant and soil sciences; Burns Hargis, action grants tenure in the Department of Economics and Legal Studies, Spears School of Business.

RETIREMENTS: Ronald J. Tyrl, botany, June 30; Brewster E. Fitz, English,

June 1; Lanny G. Chasteen, accounting, June 3; Kevin E. Murphy, accounting, July 1; Zane K. Quible, management, June 2.

For OSU-Okmulgee, a change in title for Michael S. Taylor from instructor to division administrator, engineering technologies, was approved.

For OSU-Oklahoma City, the promotion of Diana C. Wolfe to department head, computer information systems/technology communications, was approved.

For the OSU Center for Health Sciences, a title change and transfer to tenure track was approved from Lora D. Cotton, from clinical assistant professor to assistant professor and associate program director, family medicine.
