Girish Agarwal, an Oklahoma State University physics professor, recently took part in ceremonies in London for his election into the Fellowship of The Royal Society. Election is regarded as the highest accolade a scientist in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth can receive next to a Nobel Prize. Among others who have been honored with this distinction are Sir Isaac Newton, Stephen Hawking and Sir David Attenborough.
