Oklahoma State University has saved more than $2.2 million across its five campuses through the first seven months of 2008, it was announced today at the regular meeting of the OSU/A&M Board of Regents in Stillwater.

The $2.2 million reduction from January through July of this year represents a 17.3 percent savings in energy costs for OSU, which launched its comprehensive energy conservation initiative last year. Including the initial training period that started in July last year, the program has saved nearly $3.4 million over 13 months.
