OSU welcomes Big 12 black student leaders

The 31st annual Big 12 Conference on Black Student Government is underway at Oklahoma State University’s Stillwater campus. Approximately 750 students and advisers representing black student organizations from all the Big 12 universities, as well as several other institutions, are expected to attend the Feb. 14-17 event hosted by OSU’s African American Student Association (Afro-Am).
Keynote speakers for the 2008 conference include National Public Radio commentator and former Washington Post reporter Patrice Gaines (pictured); engineer, author and inventor Calvin Mackie; Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange; OSU alumnus and Oklahoma City native Rev. Bryan Carter, OCAST executive director Mike Carolina; and motivational speaker and businessman Stedman Graham.
