Twenty- four $750 scholarships were available for spring semester, with seven $500 available for each of the shorter term programs in winter inter-session and spring break.  Twenty-five scholarships were given out by 9:00, three for the winter program and twenty-two for spring semester. Scholarships are still available and students continue to submit their applications through the fall semester.  A waiting list will be established if necessary.

Along with the application, students must submit proof of application to a credit bearing activity abroad, a service statement indicating how they will promote study abroad upon their return to OSU, and a statement of financial need.  The purpose of the PSAO scholarship is to provide an incentive for students to gain experience abroad that will further develop their global competency.  The Provost’s office allocates $120,000 annually for the scholarships .  Two hundred six scholarships were given out in 2007-2008.
