2009 OSU Homecoming Schedule of Events Announced

(Stillwater, OK   October 6, 2009) -- The OSU Alumni Association will present Homecoming 2009: ‘Branded For Life!’ on October 16 and 17.

The Missouri vs. OSU football game will kick off at 8:15 p.m. Saturday. Due to the late kick off, the start time of the Sea of Orange Parade in Downtown Stillwater has changed to 2 p.m.

The other events and activities for Saturday, October 17, will be scheduled as follows:

11 a.m. - 7:45 p.m. – Cowboy Corral – ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center
Join the Alumni Association at the Cowboy Corral for great food, fellowship and fun! Freddie Paul’s burgers and brats will be available at 11 a.m. and Hideaway pizza and The Daily Grind beverages at 3 p.m. The Alumni Store will be on hand with great orange merchandise, and we’ll be showing other exciting Big 12 matchups on our giant big screens!

11 a.m. – Black Alumni Association Meeting and Luncheon – OSU Student Union Oklahoma Room
If you are interested in assisting with the leadership of the Black Alumni Association, be sure to attend. Immediately following the business meeting there will be a General Assembly at noon to provide an update on the happenings of OSU, the Black Alumni Association and the OSU Alumni Associa­tion.

12 - 7:45 p.m. – Alumni Registration Begins – ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center
Register your attendance for the Homecoming giveaway and purchase official Homecoming merchandise. Also, be sure to pick up your commemorative Homecoming button!

2 p.m. – Sea of Orange Homecoming Parade – Downtown Stillwater
Be in attendance to celebrate one of Homecoming’s oldest traditions with Grand Marshals and OSU Alumni Hall of Fame inductees Garth Brooks, Barry Sanders and Robin Ventura, OSU Royalty, Homecoming executives, bands and floats. 4:30 - 5 p.m. – Cowboy Corral: Photographs with Bullet – ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center
Have your picture made with Bullet and the OSU Spirit Riders on the east terrace of the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center!

5:30 p.m. – Cowboy Corral: Pep Rally – ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center
Join Pistol Pete, the OSU Spirit Squad, the Cowboy Marching Band and your fellow alumni and fans as we cheer the Cowboys on to victory!

5:30 p.m. – College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Alumni Meeting and Barbeque – Wes Watkins Center

6 p.m. – “The Walk” – Hester Street from the OSU Student Union to Boone Pickens Stadium
Show your support for Coach Gundy and the Cowboys as they make their way to the stadium!

6:15 p.m. – College of Arts & Sciences Reception – Murray Hall

6:15 p.m. – College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology Reception – Vogt Room of the Advanced Technology Research Center

6:15 p.m. – Spears School of Business Reunion – Main Lobby of the Business Building

8:15 p.m. – Missouri vs. OSU – Boone Pickens Stadium (Televised by ESPN2)
Watch the Cowboys take on the Missouri Tigers, the crowning of the 2009 Homecoming Royalty and the induction of Garth Brooks, Barry Sanders and Robin Ventura into the OSU Alumni Hall of Fame.
