Go Green. Ride Orange. Earth Day 2009.

THE BUS OSU/Stillwater Community Transit system is offering free rides on all routes, on Wednesday, April 22 to celebrate Earth Day 2009.  Additionally, a limited number of “Go Green.  Ride Orange.” t-shirts will be distributed on the buses during Earth Day.

According to the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), public transit is consistently the top way to go green – for every mile traveled on public transit, riders will produce 95 percent less carbon monoxide than driving.

Along with providing environmental benefits, the free bus-ride day will also provide new or infrequent riders a chance to experience THE BUS system.  THE BUS operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm.
