KOSU and Journal Record team up for radio

Version of Popular Column on Oklahoma Architecture
These Walls to air Fridays at 9:17am on 91.7 fm in central Oklahoma and 107.5 fm in northeastern Oklahoma

(February 19, 2008  Stillwater, OK) – KOSU, the State’s Public Radio, is partnering with the Journal Record, a daily newspaper specializing in business, legislative and legal information services, to bring the Journal Record’s popular regular features about Oklahoma’s landmark buildings to radio. These Walls will air on KOSU Fridays beginning February 20 at 9:17 am on 91.7 fm in central Oklahoma and 107.5 fm in northeastern Oklahoma.
 
“KOSU is thrilled to partner with the Journal Record to share the fascinating stories about our state’s built environment,” said Kelly Burley, KOSU Executive Director.  “From historic churches and theaters to our state’s tallest skyscrapers, These Walls tells the story behind these structures and their unique features.”
 
These Walls runs in print every Friday and Monday in the Journal Record, written by reporter Kelley Chambers in Oklahoma City and bureau chief Kirby Davis in Tulsa. The radio version is produced and performed by Dave Rhea, the Journal Record’s new Social Media Editor, whose focus is translating traditional print material into various digital media, including audio, video and online interactive.
