National creativity expert to speak at OSU

(August 27, 2009 Stillwater, OK) – The Oklahoma State University Creativity Initiative,
the OSU Department of Entrepreneurship and the Riata Center for Entrepreneurship in
the Spears School of Business will host national creativity expert Jeff Stamp on Sept.
16, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Student Union Little Theatre.
Stamp will shed insight about personal creativity and how to develop creative problem-solving
skills in a presentation titled “Thinking Creatively About Creativity - It Isn’t Just
About Ideas.”
“Dr. Stamp is one of the top experts on creativity and ideation in the country,” said
Michael Morris, N. Malone Mitchell, Jr. Chair in Entrepreneurship and head of the
OSU Department of Entrepreneurship. “As a leading educator, Dr. Stamp is helpful in
shedding insights not only on our own creativity, but how to get our students and
employees to develop their creative problem-solving skills.”
Stamp was the inventor, creator, and brand manager of “Baked Lays”, for PepsiCo’s
snack division Frito-Lay. He was also principal at the Eureka Ranch, a leading creativity
center. Stamp currently serves as chair of entrepreneurship and innovation at the
University of North Dakota and the CEO of Bold Thinking, LLC.
