2009 Student Employee of the Year

Nominations due by Friday, January 30, 2009.

Do you have an exceptional student employee?

What better way to show your appreciation than by nominating them to be OSU’s Student Employee of the Year .  This is a fantastic way to show just how much you truly appreciate the work your student(s) put into making your job and the jobs of your co-workers much easier.

The contest is sponsored by Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid and the office at Career Services in conjunction with the National Student Employment Association (NSEA) National Student Employee of the Year contest.  The OSU Student Employee of the Year will compete at the regional level and if successful, will eventually compete nationally.

Eligible Students
Undergraduate students employed on or off campus and graduate students who are performing student employee jobs (not resident advisors, graduate assistants, or teaching assistants) on-campus or any off-campus jobs are eligible.

Eligible Terms of Employment
Students must have been employed for a minimum of 3 months at 20 hrs/week (or 6 months if less than 20 hrs/week) between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009 (anticipated).  This is equivalent to 240 working hours during the year period.

Selection Criteria
Students will be evaluated on the following, equally-weighted qualities:
·        Reliability
·        Quality of Work
·        Initiative
·        Professionalism
·        Uniqueness of Contribution

Students are a large reason why Oklahoma State University and the Stillwater community are so successful.  One of the ways the students impact our community and campus comes from the work they do as student employees.  Think about some of the ways your student employees impact your office or department.

Nominating your student employee(s) is easy.  Simply complete the nomination form and return it along with your nomination letter to: Sonya Kegin, 119 Student Union.

Nominations are due by Friday, January 30, 2009.

Please take this opportunity to recognize your student employees.  Thank you for your time and consideration.
