OSU and University of the Philippines sign agreement

(Stillwater, OK September 1, 2009) - Oklahoma State University and the University
of the Philippines Los Baños have signed a reciprocal exchange agreement for undergraduate
students who wish to study in the Philippines.
The agreement, signed by OSU Provost Marlene Strathe and UPLB Chancellor Luis Rey
I. Velasco, will enable OSU students to enroll and study at UPLB while paying OSU
tuition and fees.
“We envision a long and fruitful relationship that will benefit both of our universities,”
said Strathe.
Founded by renowned American botanist Edwin Copeland on March 6, 1909, UPLB is a leading
comprehensive academic institution in Southeast Asia. The university offers over 1,000
courses in English in agriculture, arts and letters, communications, economics and
management, engineering, forestry, human ecology, natural and social science, and
veterinary medicine.
